Q. What is FTP?
File Transfer Protocol. This is the
language used for file transfer from computer to computer
across the WWW. An anonymous FTP is a file transfer between
locations that does not require users to identify themselves
with a password or log-in. An anonymous FTP is not secure,
because it can be accessed by any other user of the WWW.
In other words, it is the program you use to upload files to
your website.
Q. Where do I get it?
You can either use CPanel's
FTP or download a free one. We personally suggest
http://www.smartFTP.com.
It is free and very easy to use.
Q. My FTP is very slow and disconnects, what do I do?
Go into your ftp options and
see if passive mode is checked if it is uncheck it. If it is
not checked try checking it. This should solve your problem
assuming the issue is not with your internet.
